The kitchen reveal!
It took us about 3 months to get our kitchen ready for use. We started it in September 2015 and had our family over for Thanksgiving that same year. It wasn’t perfect as some details were still pending (read on for more details on that), but we were able to enjoy the fruits of our labor and share our gratitude with our family with a fully functioning kitchen.

5 YEARS LATER
So almost 5 years later and we still love our kitchen redo. More kitchen updates have happened since 2015 and I’ll get started on sharing:
more details on our coffee station and how it has and hasn’t evolved over the years and we’re not mad about it
how we made a beam from poplar wood to dress up the existing beam where we removed the wall
made a “pantry” around the fridge using IKEA cabinets
